Our diverse team of experienced practitioners and educators are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of acupuncture professionals.
Acupuncture is one of the alternative treatments developed by Chinese medicine. Its popularity is increasing day by day in the world. This method has made it easier to treat diseases that are not curable by modern medical methods, mainly bone and joint diseases, nerve related diseases, arthritis, paralysis, back pain, insomnia, and drug addiction. The Constitution of Nepal has also acknowledged alternative medicine and it has been incorporated in the National Health Policy of the country. I have also been involved in this profession for the past 30 years and have experienced its effectiveness. With an objective of developing skill based education, Acupuncture college was established by the service center in Jorpati, Dakshindhoka, Kathmandu in 2070 B.S. with an aim of promoting reasonable, employment backed education to provide solace to the problem of brain drain in a developing country like ours. Since it is also necessary to spread public awareness about this method of treatment, I believe that this published material will be useful.
